Step-by-Step Instructions

Plan the Layout

Sketch out the room design including wall murals, furniture placement, and lighting positions.

Paint the Walls

Apply two coats of navy blue paint. Let dry completely between coats.

Add Constellations

Using a star chart as reference, paint constellations with glow-in-the-dark paint.

Build the Rocket Bookshelf

Cut MDF boards into a rocket shape, assemble with wood glue and screws, then paint.

Install LED Ceiling

Run LED strip lights along the ceiling perimeter for a starry night effect.

Add Finishing Touches

Place space-themed bedding, rugs, and accessories to complete the look.

Tips & Lessons Learned

  • Test paint colors on a small section first
  • Use a projector to trace constellation patterns
  • LED strips with a remote make it easy to adjust brightness
