Step-by-Step Instructions

Measure & Plan
Measure the wall and calculate how many slats you need with even spacing.

Prep the Slats
Sand and stain all furring strips. Let dry completely.

Mark the Wall
Use a level and pencil to mark vertical lines for each slat position.

Install Slats
Apply construction adhesive and secure each slat with brad nails.

Fill & Touch Up
Fill nail holes with wood filler and touch up stain as needed.
Tips & Lessons Learned
- •Use spacers cut from scrap wood for perfectly even gaps
- •Start from the center of the wall and work outward
- •A darker stain creates more dramatic shadow lines
